The cancerous damage associated with sunbed use is substantial and could be avoided by strict regulations.”
A number of countries, including Brazil, have banned the use of tanning beds for anyone under the age of 18. In New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo recently signed a bill that bans the use of indoor tanning beds for children under 17 and requires parental consent for teens from 17 to 18 years old before they may use a tanning bed.
